About the Tutor

Meet Parsa

Hi everyone. My name is Parsa and I am a tutor based out of the East Coast. What started out as just tutoring my friends outside of school with their math homework quickly grew into a passion of mine, leading me to work as a math tutor at Mathnasium for over a year and a volunteer tutor at Schoolhouse as well.

I was able to raise my score from a 1380 (660 R/W, 720 Math) to a 1510 (720 R/W, 790 Math) all by myself — with no tutoring, no courses, and minimal studying. Given my three years of tutoring knowledge and my personal SAT experience, I will teach you all the effective tips and tricks I used to boost my score 130 points.

Tutoring Experience

Three years of teaching math, not just taking tests

A high score alone doesn't make someone a good teacher. Alongside my own SAT prep, I spent over a year as a math tutor at Mathnasium working with students across grade levels, and I volunteer as a tutor at Schoolhouse — which means I've explained the same concept a dozen different ways until it lands for a specific student.

That experience shapes how sessions run: teach the concept, model it, work through problems together, then hand the pencil over. Nothing moves forward until a student can do it on their own.
